Beautiful 'Suminagashi' Petite Greeting Card Set, Japanese traditional hand-marbled Washi on printmaking Washi paper, with ears, and with handmade Washi envelopes, off-white base,

Card; 70% Kozo, 30% Wood pulp,  Water-based pigment ink.

Envelope and inside writing sheet; 100% Kozo.

 

Each is uniquely hand printed. No other of the same patterns. Random selection is left to the seller.

The thin Washi made with Kozo is very durable and graceful.

    Suminagashi

    Suminagashi  墨 流 し or “floating ink” is the process of marbling plain paper with water and ink to transform it into something vibrant and colorful. It originated in Japan as early as the 12th century.  The ink is dropped in the vat one print at a time!
